Just living and talking about it

Establishing an Endeavor

If you are reading this then I personally sent you this blog. Consider yourself lucky you have been involved in another one of my life indulgences. I understand it could keep this first post up forever (or until I stop paying for this website service) so it is probably important to make this a good first impression.

I believe the best way to get a grasp on someone is to just let them talk for as long as they want about whatever they want. That is exactly what I’ll do in this first post as I don’t truly have a grasp on what THIS is or will be anyways. So what is going on in my life lately:

Lately:

Going into this summer I had a similar mindset as I usually do every year, “I will actually have fun this summer and for sure do so many new things my brain will be firing so many new pathways I’ll be a new person by the end of the season.” But of course just like every other year a voice in the back of my mind said that was never going to happen. It’s July 28th so I could say I’ve made it halfway through my summer if I’m counting my summer being the start and end of a summer college term. Reflecting now I can surprisingly say I have fired so many neurons my brain surely looks different.

This summer has two potential names: New Brain Summer or Kpop Concert Summer

As someone who got into K-pop a little over a year ago I’m pleasantly surprised I will have gone to 3 K-pop concerts by the end of the year. It doesn’t sound like a lot but as someone who used to go to a concert maybe every 2 years, this is huge for me. Starting strong with Stray Kids in June, then to Ateez in July and finally Le Sserafim in September, this is the year of K-pop for my life I guess. Two of those concerts have been this summer and I could probably talk about each one for hours but really what haven’t you heard from me already.

While it is still fresh (a week ago exactly) on my mind, I think the Ateez concert is most fitting to revisit. I want to make a whole post on just my experience at this concert so I will save the details for later. But what I will say now is that I will never let go of the feeling of being able to see/meet the people that have had the biggest impact on my life in the past year. From pushing myself to pursue the smallest of dreams to learning a new language, Ateez has somewhat shifted my life even if its in the unimportant actions in my mundane life.

In other news, this is (hopefully) my last summer semester as an undergrad as I should be graduating soon! Woohoo! We all cheered! A masters program can’t be that hard can it? Genuinely I am excited to close this chapter and open a new one I just can’t help but reflect on how fast the time went by. Of course I’m not the first person you hear this from as it seems every human experiences hindsight at the speed of lighting but its worth noting that yes, I do also feel the movement of time. No one is alone ever! This past summer I took two classes and one of them really left an impact on me. It was just a marketing class but the professor teaching it is who had the biggest impact on my mindset lately. It’s funny how sometimes you just have to take a class to graduate and end up changing your motivations and value system! This is just to say I have gotten much better at talking to strangers and advocating for myself in the academic setting. Also hey, this moved me so much I’m taking another class with this professor next semester.

To sort of wrap up this post I will lay down some expectations which might and are likely to change at any given moment, for this blog. As I thought about actually making a blog I realized I might just love the idea of having an electronic journal for my friends to read and for I to look back on. I have a few ideas on different posts I’d like to make already. This space might just be somewhere for me to post random stories or pictures/videos, think of it has an angy HQ! Anyways hopefully anyone read this and if you did, I’m open to ideas that you’d think would be cool to see in a personal blog like this.

10 points to whoever can guess my next post…
